Role Overview
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to strengthen its Global Human Resources team. This role is strategically designed to overlap with the current HR Specialist, who will be retiring in December, ensuring a seamless transition of knowledge and responsibilities. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting core HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and IPA’s transition to a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) model.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes.
Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR documents.
Review and approve payroll changes; manage the time and attendance system (Replicon).
Ensure accuracy of data entry across HRIS platforms (NetSuite, ADP, Replicon).
Support benefits administration including invoice processing and auditing.
Handle employee inquiries and support compliance and internal audits.
Administer U.S. employment eligibility verification.
Act as liaison with PEO and EOR providers, ensuring smooth coordination.
Support recruitment, performance management, and L&D initiatives.
Collaborate with global HR colleagues to foster a strong and inclusive workplace community.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ HR experience in a global organization (nonprofit experience preferred).
Proficiency in HRIS platforms (NetSuite, ADP, Replicon).
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and compliance processes.
Prior experience with PEOs and EORs is highly desirable.
Comfortable working across time zones with overlap in U.S. Eastern Time (EDT) hours.
