A Micromanager Will Never Understand This:
Ever felt the weight of relentless feedback despite giving your all?
Often, the issue isn't 'You'.
The real challenge lies in how managers view team performance.
Too frequently, managers focus solely on individual tasks and metrics.
But performance isn't one-dimensional;
"It's a multifaceted puzzle."
To build a high-performing team, a manager must understand the broader picture.
Consider the 4 C's Team Performance Framework:
1) Context:
-> Understanding the culture.
-> The type of team needs to be built.
-> Recognizing external and internal factors.
2) Change:
-> Measure the right KPIs.
-> Monitor how each individual is performing.
-> Improve based on data, insights, and feedback.
3) Composition:
-> Building team spirit and motivation.
-> Balanced mix of skills and knowledge.
-> The right number of team members for success.
4) Competencies:
-> Strong ability to solve problems.
-> Smart and timely decision-making.
-> Clear and effective communication.
-> Encouraging new and creative ideas.
A manager's role isn't just about hiring and delegating tasks.
"Performance is multi-dimensional, and so should be the approach to managing it."
Keep in mind:
It's not about managing tasks;
It's about building teams that can tackle any challenge and innovate.
